Starry Night is an excellent
aid for exploring the heavens...a superb, well documented program that
will transform you into an expert in no time. "There are few experiences as invigorating as being out in the countryside standing under a canopy of star on a still night. Starry Night conveys that feeling better than any other desktop planetarium" --New York Times |

StarGazer How To Use The Moon To Find The Lion,The Virgin and The Scorpion A look at the moon's path across the southern horizon in mid-May. On May 10, a first quarter moon is inside Leo the Lion, just to the right of Leo's brightest star, Regulus. Observers can look for the pair just after sunset high in the southwest. By May 14, the moon has grown almost full and moved east across the southern sky. It is now just above Spica, one of few bright stars in an otherwise desolate section of the sky. Finally on May 18, the full moon is above Antares. Most of the Scorpion is still below the horizon at midnight, and will rise over the next few hours. |
